Virage Sonore is a company dedicated to the production of podcasts and sound creations.
A passionate and creative person, William Maurer works in the field of sound for a decade.
Graduated from Institut Supérieur des Techniques du son in Paris, he starts his career as a studio assistant in various musical and audiovisual project.
In 2011, he moves to Montreal where he participated in multiple musical project as a composer and producer (Of Course, No Place For Heroes, Suprême Sans Plomb).
While completing a degree in Arts management at HEC, he earned his stripes in the radio world in Quebec. He hosted ‘’La Grande Machination’’ on CISM until 2014 before becoming Musical director, and then General director of the podcast platform CHOQ.ca.
Under his direction, CHOQ.ca won the Digital Media of the year at GAMIQ 2017, and it counts almost 5 millions plays per year.
William is now behind the conception and production of multiple podcasts (Hétaïre, Derrière le Sample, Les Mains Propres and Le Studio on CHOQ.ca , Radio Dodo, supported by l’UNESCO).
He will be a real ally in the creative conception and production strategy of your podcast.
Kevin Gironnay is a sound lover. His ears opened upon contact with radio art and acousmatic music.
Trained sound engineer and while studying music composition in multiple conservatory in France, he worked for a while at Radio France : particularly at Atelier de Création Radiophonique (ACR) and with Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM). There, he co-produced a show (« Arrêter d’écrire ») et developed content for the GRM webradio (« À vous les studios »).
He completed a master’s degree in composition at Université de Montréal with Nicolas Bernier. He now produces experimental music for various projects (music for concert, video, danse, sound installations, etc). He founded and is the artistic director of Ensemble ILÉA and created on CHOQ.ca « Aléas » a show about experimental music in Montreal.
